Highlights of our collection include theEYE, fascinating interview-based profiles of contemporary artists in Britain, including Antony Gormley, Tracey Emin and Anish Kapoor, and films about major artists including The Art of Francis Bacon and The Art of Henry Moore.
We've also made excellent films about major exhibitions and collections, such as AZTECS, Turner and Venice and Constable at Tate and Islamic Art at the V&A. Programmes originally made originally for television but now released on DVD, include the RSC's production of Macbeth, Chris Petit and Iain Sinclair's London Orbital and the landmark 1980s 6-part series, State of the Art.
Illuminations is also distributing an exciting range of new and re-launched documentaries from the European television channel ARTE and German producer Arthaus.
Co-produced by Illuminations and ARTE for the UK and Eire, Architectures is a 5- DVD series of 26-minute films that offer a unique and instructive insight into the greatest architectural achievements of our times.
Art Lives, from Arthaus, is a powerful and arresting series of documentaries on artists and art movements, released for the first time on DVD in the English language.
